In 2007, utilizing his expertise in engraving, the one-hand indicator was meticulously hand-carved from 18K rose gold. Furthermore, it is equipped with the highly coveted "Cal. DUROWE 7426-4," a refined deadstock movement from German manufacturer Durowe. It retains the classic pocket watch aesthetic of indicating hours and minutes with a single hand.

The case diameter has been enlarged to 42.0mm from previous models, emphasizing the beauty of the material. In addition to black, the dial is available in white, cream, and metal finishes, with each color strictly limited to a worldwide edition of 25 pieces.

BRAND HISTORY
The stainless steel case features a hard, satin finish. The plain bezel is secured by 12 screws. Its form, exuding a distinctly German sense of functional beauty, is the hallmark of Schauer.

The founder is German designer Jorg Schauer. He acquired specialized knowledge of metalworking and watches in his early twenties and now refers to himself as a "watch builder," handling everything from design and assembly to case machining, polishing, and dial inlaying himself.

Schauer has continued to produce robust, unpretentious timepieces with an emphasis on handcraftsmanship. However, in 2003, he unveiled the "Digital II," a mechanical jumping hour watch with a dial reminiscent of an LCD display. The success of this model propelled Schauer's name to prominence within the watchmaking world.

Schauer also excels at beautifully customizing existing movements by hand. The "Chronograph Edition 12 'PT'," released in 2006, showcases its exquisite craftsmanship by removing the rotor from the movement and incorporating a polished platinum bridge plate.

The new model for 2007 is another masterpiece, featuring a deadstock movement from a former German manufacturer, uniquely refined and incorporated. Schauer maintains its independent path through a rigorous approach to watchmaking that meticulously attends to even the unseen components.
