The venerable Swiss watchmaker Favre-Leuba has officially begun its distribution in Japan as of October.
The brand boasts over 279 years of history, originating from Switzerland, a country home to many renowned luxury watchmakers.
It began as a small workshop founded by Abraham Favre in Le Locle, and has since expanded its market not only within Switzerland but also to Brazil, Chile, India, and the United States.
The company established unprecedentedly rigorous standards in the watchmaking industry, releasing numerous timepieces that excel in functionality, accuracy, and reliability under all climatic conditions.
Now, after careful preparation, the brand has officially landed in Japan.
New Collections Debut in Japan First
Launched in Japan ahead of the rest of the world, coinciding with its arrival, are five new collections spanning the RAIDER and CHIEF lines.
Among these, the noteworthy RAIDER HARPOON is a diver's watch inspired by a legendary role model.
To ensure exceptional legibility underwater, it employs a mechanism requiring only a single hand. The 'minutes,' the most crucial unit in diving, are indicated by the hand, while 'hours' are shown by a rotating hour ring, and 'seconds' by a rotating disc with a small tip at the center of the dial. This innovative design allows divers to ascertain the precise time at a glance under any circumstance.
Beyond its unique functionality, the distinctive design, featuring a 14-sided bezel and characteristic hands and index markers, is also a major draw, embodying the brand's unique identity.
Each model is priced between ¥220,000 and ¥540,000.
The collections are scheduled for release in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, various Asian countries, as well as the Middle East and India.
