IKEUCHI

Born in Tokyo in 1990.
Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Information Design.
Spent much of his student years building plastic models.
For his graduation project,
inspired by the idea that the interior of computers,
which were closest to him, resembled secret bases,
he created hybrid dioramas
by combining plastic models.
The 17th Japan Media Arts Festival
Excellence Prize in the Entertainment Division
led to an invitation to Ars Electronica, the world's premier
media art event,
and he has since received high acclaim both domestically and internationally.
He is highly regarded both in Japan and abroad.
