The Toyota Foundation will hold a co-creation exhibition, "The Toyota Foundation Day," for two days on Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

This event will feature 46 projects from various grant programs of the Toyota Foundation. The venue will showcase four types of content: exhibition booths introducing the initiatives and research of each project, symposiums, workshops, and kiosks. This public event, widely introducing projects from diverse fields across grant programs, is a first for the Toyota Foundation.

Since its establishment in 1974, the Toyota Foundation has supported researchers and practitioners addressing social issues, embracing both academic research and on-the-ground practice. This support extends beyond grants. Foundation program officers have accompanied projects through dialogue and site visits, and facilitated exchange among grant recipients to foster project development.

 

Previously, exchange and sharing of results were primarily conducted within each grant program. However, as social issues become more complex and approaches and activities diversify, we considered that new perspectives and possibilities might emerge by connecting insights and ideas generated from different fields and standpoints. Against this backdrop, under the message "Question. Notice. Think. New perspectives drive the future.," a co-creation space will be created for exhibitors and visitors to interact and converse.

The "XX" in the event's keyword "XX Perspective" encompasses a wide range of views – the multifaceted perspectives that transcend existing frameworks presented by the diverse projects, and the striking, original viewpoints. The intention is for participants, both exhibitors and visitors, to discover and build upon their own perspectives, inspired by encounters with these unique viewpoints. Experience two days of engaging with diverse knowledge and practices, questioning and thinking together.

The Toyota Foundation has previously held two events on the theme of "Thinking About Mental Health Together": the first, "An Example of Life as an 'Athlete'" (February 2023), and the second, "Mind and Language Exhibition" (November 2024), both of which received significant attention. Responding to this feedback, the third event will explore mental health from multiple perspectives, inviting everyone, from children to adults, to think about 'well-being'.
