Joan, purveyors of European breads, opens in Trad Meijiro. The new store is from Joan, a bakery brand developed by DONQ, a long-established bakery born in Kobe that has consistently focused on the scratch method, where artisans prepare dough from flour and bake it, a tradition dating back to its founding in 1905.
Joan partnered with baker Laurent Joan, who ran a popular bakery in the suburbs of Paris, and opened its first store in Ginza Mitsukoshi in 1983 under the slogan "Breads of the World Created by Joan."
Since then, it has introduced European food culture by offering representative European breads from not only France but also Germany and Italy.
At the Meijiro Joan store, in addition to Joan's signature products like Pain Carré and Corn Bread, they offer store-exclusive items such as "Graham Bread," a whole wheat meal bread, and "Mini Shokupan with Jersey Milk," made with Jersey milk from Yatsugatake.
With over 80 types of bread always available, customers can enjoy freshly baked, high-quality bread.
