Making its debut at a food industry exhibition, FOOMA JAPAN 2022, Asia's largest trade show for food technology, introduces a new Startup Zone and is now recruiting exhibitors.
For four days from Tuesday, June 7, to Friday, June 10, 2022, FOOMA JAPAN 2022, Asia's largest international food machinery exhibition, will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) East Halls 1-8, marking its return after three years.
Under the theme "Restart FOOMA," three new projects are launching with the aim of becoming the world's leading comprehensive food manufacturing trade show: the establishment of a "Startup Zone," the creation of the "FOOMA Awards," and the introduction of the "FOOMA App."
The Startup Zone, in particular, is an unprecedented initiative for a food industry trade show and is expected to be a catalyst for new trends in the future food industry.
Applications for exhibitors are being accepted until Friday, October 29 for members, supporting members, and group members; until Monday, November 8 for the general public; and until Friday, December 10 for the Startup Zone.

Overcoming the challenges of COVID-19, the "Startup Zone" has been established as an innovative proposal for the new normal era.
FOOMA JAPAN 2022 aims to foster the creation of next-generation businesses and serve as a platform for new collaborations, market development, joint research, and inspiration for innovation.
Eligible exhibitors include domestic Japanese companies, organizations, and institutions, venture companies, startups, universities, and research institutions that have developed or planned innovative products, technologies, or services and are aiming for new business growth. Companies established within the last nine years are eligible; trading companies, wholesalers, and retailers are not.
The exhibition fee is 100,000 yen (tax included) and includes a package-style easy booth (2m x 2m = 4 sqm) and the use of a pitch presentation stage (one 30-minute slot per exhibitor during the event). This provides an ideal environment to showcase individual technologies at Asia's largest international food machinery trade show.
