Uber Black, the premium car service from Haier, has launched its "Hourly Hire" service.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Uber is urging users to refrain from non-essential outings. Meanwhile, for those who must venture out for necessities like grocery shopping or work, Uber is launching "Hourly Hire" as a new service from its premium car service, Uber Black (Tokyo), to ensure safe and secure transportation.
Introducing "Hourly Hire"!
With Uber Black's new "Hourly Hire" service, users can book an Uber Black for a set period, allowing for travel to multiple locations with a single, dedicated driver.
This minimizes risk during travel as users do not come into contact with multiple drivers. This service is being offered experimentally as a pilot program.
How to Use
Enter your destination:
Enter your first destination in the Uber app. Adding stops will create an itinerary.
Select "Hourly Hire":
Choose "Hourly Hire" as shown in the app. The base fare for the first hour will be displayed.
Tap "Confirm Hourly Hire":
You will be matched with a driver. After the ride begins, the minimum charge is for one hour, with additional charges applied per minute thereafter.
Uber stated in a release, "We continue to ask our customers to refrain from non-essential outings.
We also ask that when using our services, you maintain maximum distance from the driver. This initiative is expected to contribute to the safety of customers who need to go out, while also supporting the hire car companies facing a significant decrease in demand.
Uber will continue to support its partners and the community going forward."
