Encountering the Cherished Smiles of Old Japan: The Ken Domon Photography Exhibition "Children of Showa" Opens

The Noevir Ginza Gallery is currently hosting the Ken Domon Photography Exhibition: Children of Showa.

Ken Domon was a photographer who intensely focused on capturing children from the late 1940s to the early 1950s.

He would wait patiently, taking his time until the children naturally revealed their expressions, unselfconscious of the camera.

This was an era when children, full of life, played outdoors, filling the streets.

The sight and smiles of these children, absorbed in their play, not only evoke memories of our own early days but also impart strength and hope that transcend time.

The exhibition runs until June 9th.
