Features of "Pepper PARLOR"
■ A cafe where you can experience a future with robots
At "Pepper PARLOR," state-of-the-art robots are active in various scenes throughout the establishment. They work alongside staff members and also provide new entertainment for customers. We aim to create a space where guests can casually experience SoftBank Robotics' vision of "coexistence between humans and robots," and enjoy the evolution of robots and a future where we live with them.
■ Original waffles and drinks inspired by countries around the world
The menu concept is "Gourmet & Sweets Waffles Traveling the World." We offer creative dishes, including waffles and drinks inspired by various countries, that can only be savored here. We aim to provide customers with a sense of escape and excitement akin to international travel. Furthermore, we are committed to using ingredients that highlight their natural flavors and offer vegan options to welcome a diverse range of guests.
■ A stylish and comfortable space where robots blend in "naturally"
Despite the presence of many robots, the interior is a space where one strongly feels the presence of "nature." Natural materials such as "wood," "stone," "greenery," "metal," and "earth" are used, while lighting with green artwork creates a lounge-like comfort. Colorful fabric original chairs and sofas add a sense of rhythm to the space. "Pepper PARLOR" aims to be a place where "people can relax with robots."
■ Transmitting to the world from Shibuya, a cultural hub undergoing "once-in-a-century" large-scale redevelopment
"Pepper PARLOR" involves prominent specialists active both domestically and internationally, including branding producer Yoko Shibata, designer Takamichi Morita, Fumihiro Yonezawa (the first Japanese sous chef at Jean-Georges' flagship restaurant), plasterer Yuuki Kusumi, and green artist Yuko Bito. Robot planning is handled by Kazutaka Hasumi of SoftBank Robotics. Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, a commercial facility that embodies the concept of "Shibuya for adults to enjoy," targets sophisticated urban adults and disseminates new lifestyles. This concept is symbolized here, allowing guests to experience both "quality" and a "sense of the future."
