Asian Food Network, a channel specializing in Asian cuisine, makes its debut on Dplay.

Discovery Japan announces the launch of a new channel, "Asian Food Network," on its video streaming service Dplay, effective August 14, 2020. The channel will begin airing programs dedicated to Asian cuisine. All programs on this channel can be viewed for free by registering for a Free plan membership.

Asian Food Network is a channel brand for Asian food enthusiasts, operated by Discovery and based in Singapore, reaching 12 regions across the Asia-Pacific. It is beloved by many who appreciate Asian food through its digital platforms and pay-TV broadcasts. Beyond simply showcasing delicious food, it delivers information that explores kitchens across Asia and beyond, using timely and seasonal stories.

As of its launch on Dplay on August 14, the "Asian Food Network" channel offers a total of six new programs for free, including "Must-Try! Asian Food Journey Season 1," where hosts travel through Asia tasting local specialties, and "Asian Seafood Expedition." Additionally, short-form videos such as "Super Fast, Easy Cooking" and "Elevated Cooking Techniques" are also available for free. Among these, viewers can enjoy heartwarming cooking shows like "Cooking for Love Season 1," which entertains with lighthearted culinary battles, and "Cozy Family Kitchen Season 1," where a mother and daughter share simple, warm, and delicious home-cooked meals, offering plenty of recipe ideas perfect for holidays or staying at home.

Dplay already features a rich selection of food-related programs in its "Food & Travel" category, introducing various gourmet dishes from around the world, such as "Journey to Delicious Local Cuisine," "Big Eater Fight! in USA," "Giada's Italian Cooking," and "World's Most Bizarre Foods." Last July, Dplay also launched a dedicated YouTube channel, "Dplay Food," to actively share information. With the addition of the "Asian Food Network" channel, Dplay's "Food & Travel" category will now include Asian cuisine programs, expanding its offerings across a wider range of genres with enriched food content.
