The concept shop for the world's No. 1* Scotch whisky, "Johnnie Walker," the "Johnnie Walker Highball Studio," is open until this weekend!
Kirin Brewery is currently hosting the concept shop "Johnnie Walker Highball Studio" in Roppongi Hills (Minato-ku, Tokyo) until September 24th. This space offers an experience of the unique value embodied in "Johnnie Walker," the world's No. 1* Scotch whisky brand, owned by Diageo (UK). The studio is open from Thursday, September 7th to Sunday, September 24th.
*Based on sales volume in IMPACT DATABANK 2016
At the "Johnnie Walker Highball Studio," guests can enjoy their own personalized highball by focusing on the three key flavors of "Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Year Old"—its smokiness, sweetness (fruitiness), and the oakiness from 12 years of maturation—and pairing them with complementary ingredients like spices. Much like a blender meticulously combines diverse whiskies to achieve the ideal blended Scotch, visitors can select three types of complementary ingredients while imagining their preferred taste. By attaching these to the rim of the glass and sipping alongside the highball, they can engage in a "craft experience" to discover their perfect flavor. Furthermore, in collaboration with the food video media "Tastemade," visitors can create original videos showcasing the making of a "Johnnie Walker Craft Highball."

Menu (Drinks)
<Johnnie Walker Ultimate Highball (¥500 incl. tax)>
A highball crafted with the "masterpiece of blend" that is the world's No. 1 Scotch whisky. Enjoy the complex, layered taste of Black Label in its purest form with a simple recipe: pour soda over ice in a 1:3 ratio.
<Johnnie Walker Craft Highball (¥500 incl. tax)>
*Highball making experience available
A set of complementary ingredients, such as spices, is provided to enhance the "smoky," "sweet," and "oak" notes from the diverse flavors inherent in Black Label. Visitors can choose ingredients that align with their preferred taste, apply them to the rim of the glass, and then pour in Black Label and soda to craft their highball. Savoring the highball with these accompaniments to discover one's ideal flavor is a "craft experience" akin to the blender's art of combining various whiskies to approach the perfect blend. This offers a chance to rediscover the new charms of Johnnie Walker and one's own preferences.
