Around 50 Artistic Chocolate Creations Gather! Japan's Largest Easter Event "Let's Start, Chocolat de Easter" 2018 Confirmed
From Wednesday, March 28 to Sunday, April 1, 2018, for five days, the event "Let's Start, Chocolat de Easter" 2018 will be held at Hillside Forum in Daikanyama.
This event, launched in 2016 by Valrhona, a long-established French chocolate brand, aims to introduce the enjoyment of Easter—a seasonal Western custom of exchanging chocolates with loved ones to celebrate the arrival of spring—to Japan.
During the event, "Easter Art," chocolate creations crafted by approximately 50 leading Japanese pâtissiers who support the event's concept, will be unveiled.
This "Easter Art" is the culmination of the skills and ingenuity of top pâtissiers from across Japan, led by national team members and medalists of the world's premier confectionery competition, the "Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie." It is also known as the "world's sweetest art," and this is the only opportunity in Japan to see around 50 such works displayed together for the general public outside of a competition.
Furthermore, "Let's Start, Chocolat de Easter" offers free admission to everyone, regardless of age.
Additionally, the workshop where participants fill egg-shaped cases with chocolates and decorate them with masking tape and stickers is a perennial favorite.
You can also take home a one-of-a-kind Easter egg chocolate to gift to someone special.
In its third year, the event expands further with the simultaneous holding of various workshops themed around "Enjoying Easter Chocolate" and "Exchanging Gifts."
