Art Technologies, which supports artists' creative endeavors by combining "art" and "technology," will hold the art event "ART START UP 100" from Wednesday, September 25 to Sunday, September 29, 2019, at Daikanyama Hillside Forum.https://art-startup.org/

For those who have been interested in acquiring art but didn't know where or how to find it, this event will be their first opportunity to discover and own a piece of art. "ART START UP 100" aims to see more artworks displayed in homes and offices, fostering conversations and interest in art beyond just famous artists and pieces.


Furthermore, "ART START UP 100" provides robust support for artists, helping them discover new talent, continue their creative work, and expand their presence in society.

■ Rewards to Expand Artists' Creative Potential
From the 100 artists selected through a rigorous screening process, further winners chosen by the judging committee will receive prizes. These rewards will offer opportunities for career advancement, such as international exhibition chances, travel expenses, and the publication of art collections.

■ All Exhibited Works Sold at a Uniform Price
Aiming to enrich Japan's art environment, all exhibited works will be sold at a fixed price of 100,000 yen, set by the artists themselves, rather than individual pricing. Importantly, the full sale price, with no commission, will be returned to the artists. Additionally, a selection of items, beyond the exhibited artworks, can be sold on the special "ART START UP 100" website before and after the event at the artists' desired prices.

■ No Style Restrictions
Participation is free, with no restrictions on age, genre, new or old works, nationality, or qualifications. Artists can decide which works to submit within the set exhibition price. Both independent artists and those affiliated with galleries are welcome to apply.

From the numerous artists who applied by Wednesday, July 31, the 100 artists who will exhibit their works will be announced on Monday, August 5.

Selected artists will have until Sunday, August 25, to prepare and submit their works. From Sunday, September 1, all 100 exhibited works will be available for viewing and purchase reservations on the website. Purchases can also be made during the event, with final buyer confirmations on Friday, October 4.
