The artist-led art fair "ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2024" will hold its satellite event, "ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO: SATELLITE 2024," in Kyoto.

This satellite event features exhibitions and sales of works by emerging artists, hosted in various restaurants and galleries throughout Kyoto. This year marks the first participation of Kyoto Tsutaya Books, offering art experiences to a diverse audience, from seasoned collectors to newcomers, across six locations.

Details of the "History, Criticism, Art" project, launched in 2022 to foster and support young critics, have also been announced. This initiative will again see Ryo Tazawa (art critic) and Hiroki Yamamoto (cultural researcher, artist, and lecturer at Kanazawa College of Art) publish critiques of works by two artists each, which will then be compiled into a book and disseminated domestically and internationally.

Additionally, the official symposium will feature discussions with creators and art professionals, hosted by sponsors Gentosha Comics Co., Ltd. and Hakkoh LR Co., Ltd., alongside a talk session with participants of the "History, Criticism, Art" project.
