October 1st is Nihonshu Day! "National Simultaneous Sake Toast!" Event Confirmed

On October 1st, Nihonshu Day, the event "National Simultaneous Sake Toast!" will be held to celebrate the deliciousness of Japanese sake and the joy of toasting.

Now in its third year, this initiative saw approximately 76,000 participants both domestically and internationally last year.

At 6 PM on October 1st, people across the country will simultaneously raise a glass of sake and toast from their homes or at restaurants.

By submitting photos of your toast to the official website or posting them on official social media, you can enter the "Sake Toast Digital Photo Contest."

Since ancient times, Japanese people have offered sake to the gods and fostered national and communal harmony through these rituals.

Even in modern life, people form connections and toast with sake.

This is a noteworthy event that widely conveys the charm of sake both in Japan and abroad.

This year, we are also recruiting 100 participants in their 20s to join the toast at the Tokyo venue, Meijikinenkan, on a first-come, first-served basis.
