Since Remy Cointreau invested in the Bruichladdich Distillery in 2011, the company has centered its philosophy around the words, "We Believe Terroir Matters."

To date, they have produced six single malt core range items, primarily under the Bruichladdich brand, along with Port Charlotte and Octomore, releasing "Scottish Barley" and "Islay Barley" based on the origin of their respective barley.

This new release is the second edition in the 10-year-aged series, born in response to the high praise and requests for re-release of the "First Edition," which debuted in 2011.
