A new gourmet zone opens at Tokyo Station! The new areas of "Gransta Marunouchi" and "Gransta" open on Wednesday, August 30th.
This is a commercial space development project taking place in the "Marunouchi Underground Area" on the first basement level of JR Tokyo Station, from the summer of 2016 to the summer of 2017.
Spanning approximately 300 meters north to south with a total retail floor area of about 3,600 square meters, the development is proceeding in phases, with the new "Gransta" area inside the ticket gates and the new facility "Gransta Marunouchi" outside the ticket gates.

The fourth phase opening area, located along the transfer route between JR Tokyo Station and the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line, will debut as a new gourmet zone with approximately 250 seats, catering to the diverse culinary needs of Tokyo Station users and local residents.
It will feature nine shops, including large restaurants where guests can enjoy leisurely meals in a spacious setting, bakery cafes for quick visits, specialty food shops with a wide selection suitable for gifts, and deli shops offering both takeout and eat-in options to suit any occasion, all proposing a "new time for deliciousness every day" at Tokyo Station.
The lineup includes exciting new establishments such as "EATALY," an Italian food market with a restaurant that will be one of Tokyo Station's largest dining venues; "Kayano-ya," popular for its dashi stock; "Mango Tree Kitchen "Pad Thai"," a pad thai specialty restaurant by "mango tree," a Thai restaurant with its flagship store in Bangkok; and "No-ne," a shop showcasing regional specialties that highlight the food culture of Eastern Japan. It's a dazzling array of must-visit stores.
This is the final chapter of a development that began in 2016.
