Palace Hotel Tokyo is offering the "Palace Hotel Tokyo x HIGASHIYA" Special Tokyo Assortment of Yokan and Bean Confections for a limited time at its B1F pastry shop, "Sweets & Deli."

The "Palace Hotel Tokyo x HIGASHIYA" Special Tokyo Assortment of Yokan and Bean Confections is an original Palace Hotel Tokyo creation featuring two types of yokan: "Brown Sugar Yokan," made with brown sugar from Okinawa and "Shumari" adzuki beans from Hokkaido, and "Wasanbon White Yokan," made with Sanuki Wasanbon sugar and white adzuki beans from Hokkaido. It also includes one type of bean confection: "Matcha Black Soybean," which features carefully selected domestic black soybeans coated in matcha.

The wagashi confectioner "HIGASHIYA" originated in Nakameguro, Tokyo, and is known as a renowned establishment with stores in Minami-Aoyama and Ginza.

They evolve and present the culture of wagashi, born from the Japanese appreciation for the changing seasons, in ways that harmonize with contemporary lifestyles.

◆ Wasanbon White Yokan: A yokan made with Sanuki Wasanbon sugar, a prized sweetener from Kagawa, and white adzuki beans from Hokkaido.
