A conversation between Hidetoshi Nakata and Gabriel Batistuta is now available on a special website.

A new installment of "Life 2.0 TRAVEL," a web program featuring former Japan national football team player Hidetoshi Nakata and former Argentina national football team player Gabriel Batistuta, has been released on a special website starting Friday, June 29, 2018.

In this episode, Nakata, the navigator who marks 20 years since his transfer to Italy's Serie A, visits Rome, where he once played, and reunites with his former teammate, Gabriel Batistuta, the former Argentine international.

The two, meeting for the first time since a football awards ceremony in London, exchanged greetings in Italian.

Batistuta, visiting Italy for the first time in 15 years, commented on the match where he first faced Japan: "I had sprained my ankle the day before that game. It was a tough match, but I'm glad we won."

Nakata also shared his impression of Batistuta, joking, "It was Japan's first experience, and history began from there. That's why you've always remained in my memory, leaving a somewhat unpleasant impression."

After retiring from professional football, Batistuta returned to Argentina and became a rancher. He shared, "My next project is to build a sports facility for children in the town where I live." Nakata, who spent about seven years traveling throughout Japan to learn about Japanese culture, responded, "I also visited farmers, sake breweries, artisans, and temples, and now I work with them. I think it's truly wonderful to work with and talk to them." The program features both men discussing "Life 2.0" and their ongoing new challenges.
