The electric-assist MTB "RIDGE-RUNNER," equipped with Shimano's "STEPS (Shimano Total Electric Power System)" electric-assist component, will be released on April 10, 2018, at Miyata E-BIKE dealers nationwide.

The RIDGE-RUNNER is a full-fledged electric-assist MTB that is the first in Japan to feature the "STEPS E8080" electric-assist component, which Shimano developed for the European market in 2014, refined through R&D, and newly developed for Japan.

With 27.5 x 2.8-inch wide tires, electric assist, a uniquely designed aluminum frame, and a 130mm travel suspension fork, it delivers high performance on both climbs and descents.

There are three assist modes: HIGH, NORMAL, and ECO, easily operated with an assist switch designed ergonomically on the handlebars.

It features an LCD cycle computer that displays not only travel distance and speed but also assist power and battery level, allowing for at-a-glance confirmation of riding status.
