Finnish tableware brand ARABIA has released a new mug, a collaborative effort with the Tampere Art Museum, to celebrate Finland's 100th anniversary of independence. The mug features a print reproduction of original artwork by Tove Jansson.

The illustration for the "Moominvalley" mug, which is being released now, was originally created for the cover of the story "The Moomins and the Great Flood."

In cooperation with the Tampere Art Museum and the City of Tampere, ten representative works were selected from the museum's collection as candidates.

The final choice was a work used for the cover of the French edition "Moumine le Troll" of "The Moomins and the Great Flood," published in 1968.

This original artwork was chosen to convey Arabia's tribute to "Together," the theme for Finland's 100th anniversary of independence.
