From -THE TOKYO THE PERMANENT EYE-, four styles from the SOLOTEX Jersey Series will be released on May 11th.
TOKYO BASE Co., Ltd. has launched four items in its SOLOTEX Jersey Series, developed under the concept "No More Sweat Stains." This series, from "THE PERMANENT EYE," a project brand of the select shop "THE TOKYO," offers extreme resistance to sweat stains and dirt while balancing high performance with a premium feel. The collection became available on May 11 (Saturday) at all THE TOKYO stores, the ONLINE STORE, and ZOZOTOWN.
"THE PERMANENT EYE" is a project brand that offers items created with leading Japanese designers, based on TOKYO BASE's commitment to "Made in Japan."
This series features staple items from the brand's classic line, curated by Kazuyuki Kumagai, former founder and designer of ATTACHMENT. The line proposes minimalist styles that are timeless and enduring. It includes four types of garments: a crew neck t-shirt, a V-neck t-shirt, a polo shirt, and a washable leather pocket t-shirt.
SOLOTEX Jersey Series ~The Secret Behind Our Material~
• The secret to preventing sweat stains: water-repellent treatment on the surface.
By applying an ultra-water-repellent finish only to the surface threads, sweat is absorbed by the inner threads. The surface threads then repel the moisture, preventing sweat stains from appearing on the outside – a truly innovative function.
Furthermore, because the surface threads repel water, spills like coffee or soy sauce are also easily repelled.
• A welcome byproduct: resistance to dirt.
While the "SOLOTEX" fabric offers benefits such as suppleness and a pleasant feel, its tendency to attract dirt was a significant drawback. However, by applying a water-repellent finish to the outer side of this mokody fabric, the issue of dirt adhesion has been resolved, resulting in the added benefit of dirt resistance.

The fit is neither too tight nor too loose; an oversized style can appear juvenile, while too tight a fit feels dated. This design achieves an exquisite silhouette that subtly slims the body. The collar is crafted from the same fabric, eschewing ribbing, which contributes to the sweat-stain prevention and adds a subtle, distinctive touch.
