Spanish footwear brand Camper has released new items from its collaboration series with fashion designer Bernhard Willhelm, titled "Together with Bernhard Willhelm."
The new Spring/Summer 2020 collection features hybrid shoes that fuse socks and sneakers, based on the "Himalayan" series known for its zigzag outsole, alongside summer sandals in vibrant neon colors. These two concepts, further developed from the previous season, are a must-see.
The first concept is the hybrid shoe, a fusion of "socks" and "sneakers," continuing from the previous season. Based on the "Himalayan" series with its distinctive zigzag outsole, these shoes merge socks and sneakers, with the upper crafted from a single piece of knit fabric woven with elastic yarn.
The second concept presents a new design for summer strap sandals. These sandals feature vibrant neon color gradients, bi-color checkerboard patterns, and hand-drawn graphics characteristic of Willhelm's style. The upper uses recycled PET material and technical fabrics, while the sheepskin insole ensures a soft and resilient feel. Details reminiscent of kimono gradations and checkerboard patterns reflect Willhelm's deep, long-standing connection with Japan.
The new items are scheduled to be released sequentially from April onwards.
