Crafted by African women artisans using sustainable methods. BANANA REPUBLIC × Piece & Co. Collection.

Banana Republic is launching a capsule collection for Summer 2017 in partnership with textile maker Piece & Co.

The collection is built around hand-woven fabrics produced using sustainable methods by women artisans in Ghana and South Africa.

Through environmentally and socially conscious products, it proposes ways to contribute to local communities and engage with society by leveraging the skills of women artisans.

Abstract floral prints inspired by the flora and fauna of South Africa's Western Cape are delicately finished with a unique sun-dyeing technique.

Also noteworthy are fabrics featuring vibrant, saturated geometric prints created using batik dyeing techniques.

The collection's color palette incorporates rich deep blues and purples, with gray and white as accent colors.

Garments with modern silhouettes adorned in fresh prints are sure to enhance the summer atmosphere.

The lineup includes apparel and accessories for both men and women.

In Japan, sales are scheduled to begin on July 18 (Tuesday) exclusively at the Marronnier Gate Ginza 3 store.
