Limited Edition Design Released in Japan to Commemorate Hawaiian Launch

Chanson Cosmetics launched the "Protect Our Skin and Oceans" project in July 2019. Through sponsoring ocean clean-up events and supporting coral reef conservation in its first and second phases, the company has promoted SDG Goal 14: "Life Below Water."

For this third initiative, Chanson Cosmetics is releasing "Chanson UV Protect Milk" in Hawaii, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of choosing sunscreens that are gentle on both skin and marine life. Coral bleaching and death are a growing global concern, attributed not only to environmental factors like global warming but also to chemical compounds known as UV absorbers found in many conventional sunscreens.

Hawaii is set to implement a law in January 2021 prohibiting the sale of sunscreens containing UV absorbers. Driven by a desire to protect Hawaii's pristine oceans and coral reefs, not just Japan's, Chanson Cosmetics decided to launch the product there.

To commemorate this launch, a limited-edition design featuring a blue and pink gradient, inspired by the ocean and coral, will also be available in Japan (limited quantities).

The Hawaiian release, initially planned for mid-March, has been postponed to August due to delays in export procedures caused by the spread of coronavirus both domestically and internationally.
