Lycored, the world's largest natural lycopene ingredient manufacturer, has installed unmanned rental parasol stands in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. Through this experiment, we aim to promote the importance of considering others.
Lycored, the world's largest natural lycopene ingredient manufacturer,http://lycopene-jpn.com/conducted an on-site experiment between Friday, July 28, 2017, and Monday, August 7, 2017, in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. The experiment involved setting up free parasol rental stands to investigate how many people would honestly return the parasols.
This experiment was part of Lycored's "Good in Bloom Project," which has been conducted in six countries since 2015 to convey the importance of kindness and consideration for others. This was the first time the project was implemented in Japan. Just as the tomato-designed parasols offer UV protection, lycopene derived from tomatoes also protects the skin from UV rays and photoaging.
A video of the experiment results is available on "Lycopene LABO,"http://lycopene-jpn.com/a website where you can learn about lycopene, operated by Lycored.

The experiment revealed that
70 out of 83 people (84%) in Tokyo
472 out of 484 people (98%) in Kyoto
and 86 out of 97 people (88%) in Hiroshima
honestly returned their parasols. Kyoto had the highest number of people who returned their parasols with consideration for the next user, even when unobserved.
