The "Micro-Defense Formula" is Kao's unique new formulation developed to eliminate unevenness at the micro-level in water-based sunscreens. By encapsulating oil-based UV protective agents into sub-micron capsules, one ten-thousandth of a millimeter in size, and dispersing them in an aqueous phase, this world-first*1 sunscreen formulation ensures that the UV protective agents remain uniformly on the skin even after the aqueous phase evaporates. This prevents uneven application, even in microscopic gaps.

Furthermore, with SPF50+ and PA++++, and as a super waterproof type*2, it offers robust UV protection. It can also be used as a makeup base, and its attractive features include moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid and royal jelly extract to hydrate the skin, while being easily removable with soap.
