According to a survey conducted last winter (*1), 75.2% of women reported that their hair concerns were "troubling," with "dryness and frizz" being the most significant issue for women in their 20s and 30s. Dryness and frizz are worsened by the accumulation of damage from "static electricity" and "friction" in winter.
Generally, static electricity is more likely to occur in environments with temperatures below 20°C and humidity below 20% from late autumn to winter, when temperatures drop and the air becomes dry. This static electricity is the primary cause of hair losing moisture and worsening dryness. Furthermore, the friction between the head and the pillow during sleep, combined with the effects of dryness and static electricity, severely damages the hair cuticle, leading to split ends and breakage.
To maintain beautiful hair during winter, it is essential to review the sleeping environment, where we spend an average of 7-8 hours, in addition to daytime care.
