Photo Collection Featuring Exhibition Works Also Published

Kenji Ishikawa photographs "moonlight photography" around the world, using only the light of the full moon, which is 1/465,000th the intensity of sunlight. His new exhibition, "Moonbathing in the Cosmos space of spirit," showcases his deeply resonant works that, along with their beautiful blue hues, evoke a sense of the cosmos and eternal time, garnering significant popularity.

The exhibition will feature approximately 100 pieces, primarily new works captured on full moon nights at Iguazu Falls straddling Brazil and Argentina, Monument Valley in the United States, the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, and the dry lakebeds of Australia. These will be complemented by a series of works depicting Madagascar's baobab trees and rare flora and fauna of the Galapagos. The collection appeals to the viewer's sense of cosmic order, beyond human control.

To coincide with the exhibition, a photo collection titled "Moonbathing in the Cosmos space of spirit" will also be published. Furthermore, a gallery talk will be held on Wednesday, September 26th, followed by a book signing event for the photo collection on Thursday, September 27th.

Ishikawa states, "Full moon nights are when we can truly feel the cosmos on Earth." He adds, "Since 2005, as a new series, I have embarked on full moon journeys seeking an earthly experience of the cosmos in locations with vast landscapes and starry skies. I hope these moonlight photographs, which evoke other planets, will provide an opportunity to re-examine our beautiful Earth." We invite you to immerse yourself in Ishikawa's fantastical photographic world, capturing the mystical beauty of nature.
