Masumitsu Miyamoto Baritone Recital: "Crimson Mozart"

Opera singer Masumitsu Miyamoto, who made a dazzling debut with Nikikai in the opera "Don Giovanni" directed by Ammon Miyamoto, has consistently focused on Mozart. A recital planned and curated by him will be held on September 28 (Sun) at Shibuya's "Hakuju Hall."

Text by MIYAMOTO Masumitsu

Titled "Crimson Mozart"

When one thinks of Mozart's portrait, the image painted by Barbara Krafft, depicting him in crimson attire, is likely the most common.

Crimson signifies burning passion, the fervor of blood, love... The various characters he portrayed in his operas seem to possess a life as vibrant and unfading as crimson.

This recital, "Crimson Mozart," aims to illuminate the red that Mozart embodies by exploring the diverse roles he depicted throughout his life.

The accompanying artists are equally distinguished: soprano Ryoko Sunakawa, a leading figure in Japan, will join as a navigator, alongside Mr. Hatsunori Hasegawa, who possesses deep knowledge of classical music, and pianist Maho Ishino, a specialist in opera.

This performance has a dress code. While a dress is welcome, accessories such as jewelry or a tie are also perfectly acceptable. We invite you all to adorn yourselves in crimson. "Crimson Mozart" awaits you.
