Release Party to be Held on Friday, August 8th

Shinsuke Fujieda is active not only as a composer but also as a saxophonist and flutist, notably in the duo "2 of a kind" with Atsushi Yanaka of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. Since 2009, he has also been active as Sound Furniture, with a concept of "sounds and music that exist like fine furniture."

He has consistently worked in fields connecting music and art, moving beyond established genre boundaries with contributions to installations and live performances. His original concepts and music have garnered attention from many quarters. Following the mini-album "virginsnow," released in December 2013 on his own label "SoFa Record," his first full album, "Rituals," has now been unveiled.



This work was produced entirely by Fujieda himself, from composition to mixing. It features eight interconnected tracks that create a world of depth and breadth, where ensembles weave and overlap freely.

To commemorate the release of "Rituals," a release party will be held on Friday, August 8th, at "Yagi ni, Kiku?" in Daikanyama. A special evening is planned, featuring Fujieda and the musicians who participated in the album.

"Rituals" offers a sense of comfort and healing, akin to the feeling of settling into fine furniture, as breath and vibrations resonate together. Keep an eye not only on the music but also on the stylistic evolution of Sound Furniture's musical endeavors.
