A Sacred Night Welcomed by the A Cappella of Five Women, "Aura"
The members are five women.—Mao Hatakeyama, Emi Harashima, Kanon Kikuchi, Izumi Okuwaki, and Etsuyo Oishi. "Aura" is a classical a cappella group of five female voices, formed in July 2003. They will hold Christmas concerts in Tokyo and Nagoya in December. The main visual (top photo), directed by artist MIC*ITAYA, was created by a stellar lineup of talent.

Free Mini Concert to be Held at the Christmas Tree Stage on the First Floor of Hankyu Men's Tokyo
With the concept "Masterpieces are reborn with voices alone," Aura is the most talked-about classical a cappella group today, having provided music for commercials by Sony OLED TV, Sawai Pharmaceutical, AC Japan, and more, as well as insert songs for "Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter."
Aura's music is woven solely from "voices," the ultimate instrument. They tackle instrumental pieces like Beethoven's "Pastoral" and Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers" with new arrangements quoting poetry, and perform ancient music in its traditional style without alteration. In recent years, they have continuously evolved, including remaking folk songs from various regions of Japan.
To date, they have released a total of six albums under two labels, Toelra and Epic Records. Their latest work, the world's first complete a cappella recording of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons," has been highly acclaimed for "pioneering a new genre."
