Returns after overcoming throat surgery twice
This new release comes approximately one year after his previous album, 'Born and Raised.' However, it is a "story of loss and renewal" from John, who has overcome severe trials.





In the fall of 2011, John underwent surgery for a granuloma near his vocal cords and canceled his tour for that year. However, in 2012, he announced the release of his fifth studio album, 'Born and Raised.' But just before its release, another granuloma was found, forcing him to undergo a second surgery. Although the album was released, the planned tour had to be canceled again.

After his first throat surgery, John visited a beautiful, valley-surrounded area called Bozeman in Montana for a period of rest. Following the surgery, he recuperated sufficiently in that location while beginning work on new material. However, nearly two years passed without any public performances. Then, in January 2013, he made a surprise appearance at a charity concert held in Bozeman, Montana. At the time, his voice was still hoarse due to the effects of his treatment. Despite his condition, there was a reason for his appearance.



And now, John Mayer returns to the scene with his new album. Titled 'Paradise Valley,' it undoubtedly carries sentiments for the devastated land and a wish for its renewal.
