Living Legends of the Acid Jazz Scene

Comprised of Jan Kincaid on drums and keyboards, Simon Bartholomew on guitar, and Andrew Levy on bass, The Brand New Heavies crafted their unique brand of dance music by blending jazz, funk, and soul. As a representative band of the acid jazz scene that emerged in the 1980s, their tracks are played globally as club jazz classics.

They debuted in 1988 with the single "Got To Give." Subsequently, with the addition of new American singer Ndea Davenport, their debut album "The Brand New Heavies" was reissued in 1992. Featuring hits like "Stay This Way" and "Dream Come True," it achieved massive global success. Since then, they have released numerous albums, including studio and live recordings. In 2013, Ndea Davenport returns, and the new album "Forward" is finally released.

Highly Anticipated Japan Tour with New Album!

To coincide with the release of the new album by the golden era lineup, evoking memories of classics like "Never Stop" and "Dream On Dreamer," a world tour is underway. The vocalist, of course, is Ndea Davenport, who also participated in the recording.

Performances in Japan have also been confirmed. In addition to "Shibuya duo MUSIC EXCHANGE" in Shibuya, Tokyo, they will also perform at "GREENROOM FESTIVAL '13." This promises to be an electrifying live show that will undoubtedly captivate not only long-time fans but also festival-goers.
