Miu Sakamoto's irregularly held independent event series, "DIRECT MIUsical," will host its 7th installment with musician Salyu as the guest, at Shibuya WWW on Thursday, May 30th. Advance tickets went on sale April 6th.

A Duo Close in Private Life
The independent event series "DIRECT MIUsical" features Miu Sakamoto along with guest artists with whom she shares a close relationship. The event aims to create a fun, relaxed, and at-home atmosphere centered around the themes of "voice, resonance, and body."
Salyu, the guest for the 7th edition, has a history of collaboration with Sakamoto, including the song "ROSE" where Salyu sang and Sakamoto wrote the lyrics. They previously performed together at "DIRECT MIUsical vol.5" in October 2011. This long-awaited collaboration between the two artists is set to happen once again.

Miu Sakamoto | SAKAMOTO Miu
Born in May. Moved to New York with her family at the age of nine. Her father is Ryuichi Sakamoto, and her mother is Akiko Yano. Debuted in January 1997 under the name Ryuichi Sakamoto featuring Sister M. Released the album "PHANTOM girl" in May 2010. In August 2010, she launched Miu Sakamoto presents "DIRECT MIUsical Vol.1," an event that invites musical colleagues and various artists with the theme of "voice, resonance, and body."
On August 8, 2012, she released her seventh new album, "I’m yours!". In addition to her solo activities, she is active as part of the unit "O-ame" with Yuichi Ohata, and has also formed the unit "NAKED LAMP" with Junia Fujito of JUDY AND MARY. She is also active in multiple fields, including film criticism, essay writing, narration, and stage performances.
She serves as a regular navigator for the radio program "Dear Friends" (Monday-Thursday, 11:00-11:30), broadcast on TOKYO FM and 38 JFN network stations nationwide. She also serves as a navigator for special programs on other JFN network radio shows.

Salyu
In 2000, she released two singles as Lily Chou-Chou, and in 2004, debuted as Salyu with the single "VALON-1." To date, she has released the albums "landmark," "Terminal," and "MAIDEN VOYAGE." In April 2011, she released "s(o)un(d)beams," a collaborative production with Keigo Oyamada, as "salyu × salyu." In February 2012, she released her fourth album "photogenic." In June, she performed at JAZZ CAFÉ LONDON in London and Sonar 2012 in Barcelona as salyu × salyu. Furthermore, in December, she performed at the Big Mountain Music Festival 4 in Khao Yai, Thailand.
In April 2013, she announced her first tour in approximately one year, titled "Salyu miscellany vol.1."
