James Blake, the "prodigy" at just 24 years old, who sent shockwaves across the globe with his 2011 debut album 'James Blake', will finally release his second album 'Overgrown' on Wednesday, April 10th.

Japan Tour with New Album in June

James Blake made his debut in February 2011 with his self-titled first album. Beautiful melodies reminiscent of church music, an incredibly delicate voice, effectively used noise and silence, and addictive rhythms (or lack thereof)... His groundbreaking new music was met with rapturous applause from music fans worldwide.

Two years have passed since his first album, which is said to have not only revived electro-soul – a genre that had been missing since the days of Massive Attack and Aphex Twin – but also changed the course of music. During this time, he has shown a more soulful side, collaborating with Bon Iver and covering Joni Mitchell's 'A Case of You' (both included on 'James Blake - Japan Commemorative Limited Edition'), while also releasing the more avant-garde single 'Confidence Boost' (R&S Records) with rapper Trimbal, demonstrating his continued prolific activity.

The culmination of these "extracurricular activities" can be heard in his second album 'Overgrown', set for release on Monday, April 8th in his home country and Wednesday, April 10th in Japan. Far surpassing the post-dubstep genre, it reinterprets everything from hip-hop to house, resulting in a work that only he could create. Furthermore, he is scheduled to perform in Japan in June, a highly anticipated event for his fans.

'I want to make dance music that people can connect with emotionally, like soul. I want to make music that speaks gently and naturally, like folk. What I'm seeking is "humanity",' Blake states. While listening to the gentle tones of the先行 single 'Retrograde', we eagerly await the album's arrival.
