Two Sides: A Rock Band and a DJ Team

Van She was formed in Sydney, Australia, in 2005 by Nicholas Routledge (Vo./Gt.), Matt Van She (Ba./Vo.), Michael Di Francesco (Synths./Gt.), and Tomek Archer (Dr./Sequencer). In November 2005, they released 'The Van She EP,' featuring 'Sex City' as its lead track, garnering significant attention and performing in Japan at Summer Sonic's 'Modular Night' and other events.



In addition to their work as a rock band, they are also known for their activities as the DJ team 'Van She Tech,' with the same members. They have increased their profile by remixing artists such as Daft Punk, Feist, and Klaxons.



'Idea Of Happiness' was crafted over the four years since their previous release. Recorded, engineered, and produced entirely in Sydney, their base of operations, the album features titles like 'Calypso,' 'Jamaica,' and 'Coconuts,' creating a joyful work that invites listeners on a musical journey, transcending the cold season.
