Focus on Luxurious Collaborations

This is the first original album in 12 years. It includes the extended dub version of "Tokyo," the NTT Docomo "Style'20" CM song featuring rapper 5lack, which is now being released on CD for the first time. Also featured are an ultimate Balearic number with Daigo Sakuragi, vocalist of D.A.N., the promising young band championing Japanese minimal mellow, making his first guest appearance. The album also revisits a miraculous collaboration with NIPPS, whose 1998 collaboration is still spoken of today, and a deep dub track where the soulful playing of the reclusive trumpeter Kazufumi Kodama shines. It's packed with coveted collaborations that would impress even the most discerning fans.


Furthermore, the album features Hollie Cook, a songstress who is the daughter of Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook, and Miss Red, a female MC from Israel gaining attention in the UK reggae scene, both featured on the 7-inch single "SHINE" released in November. Addis Pablo, who inherited the spirit from his father, the legendary melodica player Augustus Pablo, and Leila Adu, a singer from New Zealand who has also lent her beautiful vocals to LORD ECHO's work, are among the diverse artists featured across genres, generations, and borders.

Also noteworthy are the artwork created by Noriharu Shimoda himself and the photographs by photographer Shoji Uchida.

Ahead of the album release, a subscription service for all works from his Toy's Factory era (1993-2000) began last month, so don't miss that either.
