An Evening to Experience the Evolving Haruomi Hosono

Haruomi Hosono, a legend in Japan's rock and pop music scene, indispensable to the narrative of its music history, will hold his first leader performance at Blue Note Tokyo on November 2nd (Wednesday). Since his debut as the bassist for April Fool in 1969, he has been involved in numerous bands, including Happy End, Caramel Mama, Tin Pan Alley, and Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO). This promises to be a special night to immerse oneself in his new musical world.

Supported by Rising Musicians

Haruomi Hosono wears many hats as a musician, including bassist, producer, and composer. From the unique world of Japanese rock he crafted with Happy End to the electric sounds that defined an era with YMO, he has consistently delivered new music through his broad musicality and exceptional sensibility.

This May, he held a live performance in Chinatown, his first in 40 years since the masterpiece "Chin An Yang Xing." His new song "MOHICAN" (theme song for the film "Mohican Returns Home"), his first original track in four years, has also garnered attention.

In this performance, he takes the lead, singing and playing guitar himself. Supporting his refined acoustic sound are notable rising musicians such as Ren Takada, Keito Saito, and Daichi Ito.

As winter begins. Wrapped in his rich, gentle voice, you might find yourself shedding an inner layer of warmth. General ticket reservations begin on September 23rd (Friday).
