Visuals + Live Performance by Orchestra and Choir!

The live cinema concert "2001: A Space Odyssey" premiered on June 25, 2010, at the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre in London.

"2001: A Space Odyssey," which popularized the style of using an orchestra for film scores, masterfully integrates many representative classical pieces into its story and visuals, such as Richard Strauss's "Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30," Johann Strauss II's "The Blue Danube," and an adagio from Khachaturian's "Gayane." These pieces lend a beautiful lyricism to the realistic visuals, making it feel as if it were filmed in outer space.
