A Human Story Following Five Years of the Cycling Team 'GreenEdge'

The film 'All For One' is a sports documentary that closely follows Australia's professional cycling road race team, 'GreenEdge,' tracking their tours for five years since the team's founding. Filming took place in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Colombia, South Africa, the United States, and Australia. Within the film, the spirit of "ALL FOR ONE" (original title) is depicted through the trust that blossoms as each rider, from young to veteran, achieves their goals within a team of mixed ages and experience, and through the unique team play of road cycling where riders dedicate themselves to supporting the ace to victory.

Director Dan Jones said of GreenEdge, "The team's structure was different from the existing approach; they didn't select riders based on results alone. They focused on individual personalities and how they could integrate into the team. While rigorous training is fundamental, their approach also emphasizes enjoying life off the bike. This carries the risk of being frowned upon in the traditional world of cycling. But what makes GreenEdge unique is that enjoying oneself is also an important part of a racer's job." He added, "The goal of this film is to show many people the five-year tour, which was full of ups and downs like a roller coaster, and laughter. This film is not just about cycling; it's a human story."

Wataru Watanabe, the author of the landmark cycling manga 'Yowamushi Pedal' (published by Akita Shoten), which has surpassed 25 million copies in circulation, offered his enthusiastic praise: "Road racing is often compared to life. Setbacks and triumphs, many failures, the presence of friends, and finding joy in what you do—Chaves' dramatic comeback and victory, and the veteran rider Heyman, who, while celebrating the win, said, 'Getting old is tough, only the young ones win,' finally achieved a miracle in a classic race he had challenged many times... The fact that this is undeniably true makes road racing fantastic! It's a film that gives you the courage to keep moving forward without giving up."
The film 'All For One' is currently a major hit, playing at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo and Namba Parks Cinema in Osaka, with a wider release across Japan starting March 13 (Friday).
