Chris Rock Plays Her Lover

Five years have passed since '2 Days in Paris' (2007), the romantic comedy that garnered significant attention from film fans, starring French actress Julie Delpy – known for her roles in 'Tricycle' and 'Before Sunset' – who also took on directing and writing duties. Its sequel, '2 Days in New York,' is now here.



Chris Rock, a popular comedian, plays Mingus, the new boyfriend of Marion, a French photographer played by Julie Delpy. Furthermore, Marion's father, who visits New York and causes a stir, is played by Albert Delpy, Julie Delpy's real-life father.

Her Father, Sister, and Ex-Boyfriend Visit from France

Marion, a French photographer, and Mingus, a radio DJ and journalist, live with their respective children and cat in a cozy New York apartment. Suddenly, Marion's father and sister, along with Marion's "ex-boyfriend" who is inexplicably dating her sister, arrive from France to coincide with the announcement of Marion's new work.



Marion is overwhelmed by the incomprehensible behavior and conversations of her cheerful, laid-back father, her overly open sister, and her ex-boyfriend who has smoothly joined the family trip as her sister's partner. Mingus, who had been trying his best to smile through his first encounter with his girlfriend's family, reaches his limit, and the situation takes an unexpected turn...



The new story unfolds in New York, a melting pot of cultures. Once again, a couple who seemed to be in a stable relationship finds themselves facing a cascade of incidents, leading to two days filled with continuous trouble!
