The "Adult Music Film Festival ~A Gathering of Legends~" will screen 12 high-quality documentary films of music legends. It will be held at Kadokawa Cinema Yurakucho from Saturday, February 9th to Friday, April 12th, and at Umeda Garden Cinema in Osaka until Friday, March 22nd.

Exploring the Fate of the Promising Singer-Songwriter, Rodriguez
George Harrison, Bob Marley, Santana, TOTO—The "Adult Music Film Festival ~A Gathering of Legends~" offers fans a coveted opportunity to enjoy masterpieces on the big screen by artists who have left an indelible mark on the music scene.
This film festival was planned to commemorate the release of "Searching for Sugar Man," a documentary film about the unique life of Rodriguez, a singer-songwriter who is almost of the same generation as these legends.the documentary film "Searching for Sugar Man"which will be released on Saturday, March 16th.
"Searching for Sugar Man" tells the story of Rodriguez, who debuted with high expectations in Detroit, USA, but disappeared from the music scene after his two albums failed commercially. However, unknown to Rodriguez himself, his music became hugely popular in apartheid-torn South Africa, with his albums achieving explosive sales. In the 1990s, fervent fans in South Africa began an investigation to uncover the fate of Rodriguez, who was believed to have already passed away. They then confronted a surprising truth.—.
This acclaimed film, which has garnered attention at film festivals worldwide, including the World Cinema Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, known as a "discovery place" for outstanding independent films, and the Best Documentary Award at the Moscow Film Festival, makes its Japanese debut.
Screening New and Classic Masterpieces
The festival will also feature new films such as "Disco Revolution," which highlights the little-known "disco revolution" through music, featuring rare interviews and archival footage of Village People, Kool & the Gang, and Gloria Gaynor, key figures of the glamorous disco era of the 1970s. It will also screen "Antonio Carlos Jobim," a fusion of music and visuals dedicated to one of the originators of Bossa Nova and a representative Brazilian musician.
Furthermore, the lineup includes masterpieces such as "One + One," a landmark documentary in rock history that achieved a miraculous collaboration between The Rolling Stones and Jean-Luc Godard, "George Harrison: Living in the Material World," and "Bob Marley: Roots of a Legend."
