Yutaka Ozaki debuted in 1983 while still in high school with the single "15 no Yoru" and the album "17-sai no Chizu." His fourth single, "Sotsugyo," became a major hit, catapulting him to fame. His music, which directly sang of dreams and love, expressing the conflicts and inner cries felt within society and school, resonated with audiences, earning him immense support from young people as the "spokesperson for teenagers."

He continued to release ambitious works one after another. In 1990, he released his first double-album, "Tanjou," and in 1992, he completed his sixth original album, "Hounetsu e no Akashi." However, he passed away suddenly before its release date, at the young age of 26.

The "BIRTH TOUR" in 1991 marked Yutaka Ozaki's final tour. After a hiatus of over two and a half years since his previous performance, his legendary return to the stage for his fans has now been made into a film by Akira Sutoh, who also served as Ozaki's producer.

The film captures the first day of the "BIRTH TOUR" held at Yokohama Arena. To convey his own nervousness, the audience's excitement, and the palpable energy of his return after a long absence, the entire film consists solely of footage from that first day's live performance. The vast amount of footage, captured by 18 cameras, has been made possible for full digital projection through the latest conversion technology.

The live performance began with Ozaki's words, "It's been a while." From the first song, "FIRE," Ozaki's full-throttle performance sent the venue into a frenzy. Ozaki's presence—shouting, running, whispering, howling, laughing, and speaking—was captivating. Twelve songs were selected from a setlist of 22, including "Boku ga Boku de Aru Tame ni" and "Sotsugyo," through the encore songs "I LOVE YOU" and "Sherry," condensed into a 90-minute program.

"Resurrection: Yutaka Ozaki YOKOHAMA ARENA 1991.5.20" resonates with Ozaki's timeless voice, allowing the atmosphere of the venue to be felt in every detail. Experience this revived live performance, over 20 years later, on the grand screen.
