The protagonist, Joe, a looper, is played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, a rising young actor who has garnered attention for his roles in "Inception" and "The Dark Knight Rises." The 30-years-older Joe is portrayed by the major action star Bruce Willis. Emily Blunt, known for "The Devil Wears Prada," delivers a compelling performance as the mysterious woman who plays a key role in the story.

The film is directed by Rian Johnson, whose directorial debut "Brick" was nominated for numerous awards and who previously collaborated with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Johnson also penned the gripping and original screenplay.

In the near future, time machines have been developed. However, their use is forbidden, and only criminal organizations exploit them. When they need to eliminate an enemy without leaving a trace, they send them 30 years into the past to be dealt with by assassins known as "loopers."

One day, Joe, a skilled looper, receives an assassination order. It should have been a simple job, as usual. But the target sent back was his own self from 30 years in the future. Hesitating to pull the trigger, Joe is caught off guard, and his future self escapes into the city.

Knowing that if he doesn't kill his future self, he will be killed, young Joe desperately pursues him. When he finally corners his future self, the astonishing reason for his journey to this era is revealed. What is it that the man is trying to change, even by coming to the past?──.
