French Tradition Embodied

LOUIS XIII has a very luxurious image, truly the king of cognacs. It can be said to be French tradition given form. France has various cultures, but this LOUIS XIII cognac is a thoroughbred among them. When you actually drink it, it's very elegant. Cognac often feels rich, imposing, and strong, but LOUIS XIII is, in a good way, light and smooth. It has a floral lightness. Its taste is also remarkable. You can drink it endlessly, so before you know it, you've had several glasses. And as you drink, various flavors emerge. The aroma, the taste, the unique warmth of the alcohol, and the color. Like in the tea ceremony, the vessel is also important. The crystal bottle with gold trim is a work of art. LOUIS XIII allows you to savor the "creation" as a whole, not just the cognac inside, but the entire presentation.

I Want to Be an Adult Who Refuses to Give Up

I recently turned 54. LOUIS XIII has also aged for a long time in its casks, over 100 years, but I believe that even with age, it hasn't lost its relevance. We live in an era where things are quickly discarded. Therefore, I think it's important not to cling to anything and to adapt flexibly to the times. Values are constantly changing, so one must be conscious of values that align with the era. However, it is also important to use the values cultivated throughout one's own life history as a benchmark, applying past experiences to the future. I dislike the word "already," so I don't think, "I'm already 54." I believe it's wrong to obstruct possibilities, no matter how old one gets. In other words, I want to be an adult who refuses to give up. That's what I think.

What is Common Sense?

I always wonder, "What is common sense?" I ponder things that people don't normally think about. I question what is taken for granted. I always maintain a sense of curiosity. That's why I'm constantly searching for something every day. More than 10 questions arise daily, and I immediately look them up on my phone. Is it a spirit of inquiry or a pursuit of knowledge? There's a phrase, "age-appropriate," but I don't want to settle down that much. I believe that would shorten my life. Isn't LOUIS XIII also constantly pursuing flavor while being rooted in history?

With Respect, Enjoyment is Free

I feel it is a great honor and a wonderful thing to have become an ambassador for the superb cognac, LOUIS XIII. Moving forward, as an ambassador, I want to propose ways to enjoy this cognac. Times have changed, and I believe the ways of enjoying cognac have also changed. Therefore, what kind of situation suits LOUIS XIII—that is something one creates for oneself. Whether it's for a celebration, a nightcap, or a scene where you're entertaining guests, or even while enjoying a cigar and conversation after a meal. I think any of these are fine. As for how to drink it, I think it's acceptable to mix it with water, though I might get scolded, or to drink it during the day. Although it is a very high-end spirit, rather than boasting about drinking it, it's best to savor it as a work of art. Regardless of how you drink it, respect for LOUIS XIII is essential.
