Pairing 100 Varieties of Select Wines with Beef

A Popular French Bistro in Higashi-Ginzaen.terribleGrove Dish, which also operates the French bar '22 (Deux-Deux)', opened 'La Luciole' (meaning 'firefly' in French) in Ginza in April 2013. Located on the second floor of a building with no sign and an elevator that doesn't stop, the bar welcomes patrons with approximately 200 carefully selected wines, exclusively from Burgundy and Champagne.

The cuisine, designed to complement the curated wines, can be enjoyed in two formats: a 5000 yen course featuring two appetizers, a charcoal-grilled main dish, and dessert, or à la carte. For the Meat Day event, the main dish of this course will feature both Black Angus and Kuroge Wagyu beef.

Kuroge Wagyu, Japan's time-honored edible beef, boasts excellent meat quality and a rich marbling that creates a beautiful appearance. In contrast, Black Angus, originating from Scotland, offers a robust and juicy flavor profile due to the exquisite balance of lean meat and fat. This event offers the unique opportunity to savor both types of beef, their flavors intensified by charcoal grilling.

Experience the marriage of wines and these two types of beef, charcoal-grilled and served alongside meticulously chosen antique furniture, 'Percival' table knives—renowned as the 'ultimate table knife' from the Auvergne region of France—and artistic objects adorning the walls. La Luciole, a 'firefly' that shines at night, presents this delicious event for adults during the autumn season of appetite.
