Collaboration Between Legendary Inns and Grand Chefs
Relais & Châteaux, comprising over 520 distinguished hotels and restaurants in 64 countries, marks its 60th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, a dreamlike collaboration unfolds between Japan's most esteemed inns and the Grand Chefs of Relais & Châteaux.

Exquisite Dinners and Lunches to Delight the Senses
Founded in France in 1954, Relais & Châteaux is an organization whose mission is to spread the "Art de Vivre" – the art of living well – through its unique and charming members, creating refined experiences with heartfelt hospitality.
To celebrate Relais & Châteaux's 60th anniversary, a collaboration between its member inns and Grand Chefs has been realized. For one or two days, exquisite dinners and lunches designed to delight the senses will be presented.
Grand Chef of Japanese cuisine, Hiihisa Koyoma, will visit Bettei Senjyu-an, a secluded retreat nestled in the natural beauty of Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture. A special commemorative dinner will be held here on September 4th (Thursday) and 5th (Friday) starting at 7:30 PM. Additionally, a culinary duet will feature Hiroshi Yamaguchi, who inherited techniques directly from the late master Bernard Loiseau, and French chef Masahiro Tanabe, also a macrobiotic advisor at Tobira Onsen Myojinkan in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture! This promises to be a one-night-only gastronomic feast on September 12th (Friday).
Meanwhile, at Beniya Mukayu in Kaga Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture, Hiroshi Yamaguchi and Hideaki Matsuo, owner-chef of Kashiwaya and a three-Michelin-starred Japanese chef, will unite. A dinner held on September 25th (Thursday) will offer a splendid evening of French and Japanese cuisine.
Furthermore, on September 27th (Saturday), a dinner by Keiki Shibuya, owner-chef of Osaka La Beka, will be held at Asaba in Shuzenji, Shizuoka Prefecture. On September 28th (Sunday), a special commemorative lunch will be prepared by three-Michelin-starred Japanese chef Hideaki Matsuo at Gora Kadan in Hakone.
