Embark on a British Culinary Journey at Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo


Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo, in collaboration with the British Tourist Authority and Cathay Pacific Airways, is proud to host Michelin-starred chef Gary Rhodes. From Monday, April 21st to Friday, April 25th, they will present "Rhodes Across Tokyo," a culinary journey celebrating British cuisine.

Showcasing Dishes Fusing British Tradition with European Culinary Culture

Gary Rhodes, who has earned a total of six Michelin stars, achieved his first star at the young age of 26. He then went on to maintain a star for ten consecutive years at his London establishment, "Rhodes Twenty Four," a remarkable feat for a leading British star chef. He has also served as a British Food Tourism Ambassador since 2013.

This time, Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo, in partnership with the British Tourist Authority and Cathay Pacific Airways, invites Gary Rhodes, an expert in Great British classics, for a five-day dining event. Kicking off with afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge from the 21st (Monday), a special one-day lunch course will be offered at the Italian restaurant "Piacere" on the 22nd (Tuesday), followed by a two-day limited dinner course on the 23rd (Wednesday) and 24th (Thursday). The grand finale will be a one-night-only gala dinner in the Shangri-La Ballroom on Friday, April 25th.




Furthermore, accompanying Mr. Rhodes will be Executive Chef Wayne Tappasfield and Pastry Chef Lee Adams, who will present an authentic British afternoon tea experience.
