Autumn New Bread Collection PART II

FAUCHON, which released its autumn new bread collection in September, including the traditional bread "Pain Brié" said to have been taken by Normandy fishermen when they set sail, has been well-received. The new products released on October 27 (Wednesday) include bread to celebrate the opening of Beaujolais Nouveau in November.

A Delicious Marriage of Beaujolais Nouveau and New Bread

This year's Beaujolais Nouveau will be released on November 18 (Thursday). In anticipation of the day celebrating the new vintage of 2010, Fauchon will release breads that pair well with wine, such as "Grappe de Raisin," on October 27 (Wednesday).

"Grappe de Raisin," a bread whose rich aroma of red wine from raisins spreads as you chew it slowly. "Tordu Levain C ér éales," a natural yeast bread that is highly nutritious and pairs well with wine as is. And "Baguette Levain," which offers a unique acidity and aroma, is best enjoyed thinly sliced with white mold cheeses or pâté.

"Tordu Levain Céréales"
A natural yeast bread inspired by bread from the Gers region in southwestern France. Made with lentils, barley, and buckwheat flour, the cereals are sourced from France. The flavor of fermented and roasted cereals spreads, evoking a southwestern French breakfast. It is also perfect as a table bread, not just for breakfast.
(273 yen, released October 27 (Wednesday))

"Grappe de Raisin"
This bread is released to celebrate the opening of Beaujolais Nouveau. It is shaped like grapes used in winemaking and contains raisins marinated in red wine. While it can be enjoyed as a snack bread on its own, it is also recommended to pair with processed meats and cheeses, especially dry sausages.
(294 yen, released October 27 (Wednesday))
